Business Analyst Technical Writer (Immediate Joiner – Hybrid Thane )

Job Overview:
We are seeking a talented and versatile individual to join our team as a Technical Writer with a strong aptitude for Business Analysis. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating and maintaining clear, concise, and accurate technical documentation while also contributing to the business analysis function.
Responsibilities:
- Technical Writing:
- Develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including user manuals, API documentation, online help systems, and release notes.
- Collaborate with engineering and product teams to gather information and ensure documentation aligns with product features and functionality.
- Create and manage a style guide and ensure consistency in documentation.
- Utilize industry best practices for technical writing and information architecture.
- Business Analysis:
- Elicit, analyze, and document business requirements and processes.
- Create functional specifications, use cases, and process flows.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into actionable requirements.
- Participate in requirements gathering and refinement sessions.
- Conduct gap analysis between business requirements and system capabilities.
- Other Responsibilities:
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in technical writing and business analysis.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure documentation meets the needs of various stakeholders.
- Contribute to the overall success of the product development lifecycle.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, or a related field.
- Proven experience in technical writing, with a strong ability to translate complex technical information into clear and concise language.
- Experience in using figures and tables to enhance text with appropriate visuals.
- Interest in getting to know the audience and ensuring documentation is fit for purpose on both customer and non-customer-facing scenarios
- Attention to detail and willingness to become an expert on the client’s subject matter
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience with content management systems and authoring tools.
- Knowledge of software development methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall).
- Familiarity with business analysis tools and techniques (optional).
- A strong desire to learn and grow in both technical writing and business analysis roles.
- Excellent written skills in English
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience working in a fast-paced, agile environment.
- Familiar with documentation publishing software, such as MadCap, RoboHelp, Wikis or Zendesk
