(MEI) Madras Engineering Industries Private Limited is the largest manufacturer of Slack Adjusters in India & the 2nd largest globally.

With a market standing of over five decades had pioneered the indigenous development of Self Setting Automatic Slack Adjusters for Global and Indian Markets. MEI’s Automatic Slack Adjusters are exported to Europe, North America, South Africa, Brazil, Korea, Mexico, and Russia.

MEI is the preferred development partner for SASA by all OEMs in India. MEI enjoys over 80% fitment share with TML, AL, VECV, Bharat Benz, MTBL, and other OEMs in all their air brake fitted models. This apart, MEI is the 100% source for Trailer axle manufacturers like YORK, JOST, ADR, etc. MEI provides the widest product range covering Straight arm, offset type & Crank type to suit every axle requirement.

MEI has its own State-of-the-art Research and Development facility at Maraimalai Nagar, Chennai accredited by Government of India. MEI’s SASA is an in-house developed product and has 5 global patents. MEI has also developed Clutch Boosters through home-grown expertise for all Light & M&HCV applications and is the principal source to TML. MEIs Clutch Boosters have significant recognition with both OEM and AM customers.

Globally, MEI is the Second largest manufacturer of Automatic Slack Adjusters.

MEI has diversified into developing Air Disc Brakes for Passenger vehicles and has been exporting ADB assemblies to Europe. MEI ADB assemblies are retrofitted in various buses in India. All ADB assemblies exported have type approved by KBA.

MEI has set up a state-of-the-art Foundry for the manufacture of SG Iron castings. This foundry is equipped with DISA automatic high-pressure flask-less vertically parted green sand molding machines, Complete dust, and fume extraction systems.

All Plants of MEI have IATF / TS 16949, ISO 14001 certifications. All ASAs exported has type approval by Link Laboratories USA and TUV Germany.

Responsibilities
We are seeking an exceptional, results-driven Human Resource Manager to take the lead in fostering a progressive, inclusive, and highly engaged workforce. This key individual will play a central role in advancing human capital strategies, promoting a culture of respect and collaboration, and ensuring compliance with both local and global HR standards, including the Prevention of Sexual Harassment (POSH) regulations. The HR Manager will work closely with leadership and employees to drive a high-performance culture while safeguarding the well-being and professional growth of our diverse workforce.

Qualifications

Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
At least 15+ years of progressive experience in human resources, with a focus on employee relations, compliance, and talent management.
In-depth knowledge of labor laws, sexual harassment policies, and HR best practices.
Demonstrated experience in implementing and managing POSH programs and ensuring compliance with legal frameworks.
Strong interpersonal, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.
Ability to manage sensitive issues with discretion, integrity, and professionalism.
