Role Summary & Description:
A Solutions Engineer within the Technology Modernization Office to work closely with technology teams to identify stakeholder needs and design solutions that meet those needs. Serve as a liaison between technical and non-technical teams, and be responsible for understanding and translating complex technical concepts into language that is easily understood by stakeholders
Responsibilities include:
Provide detailed specifications for proposed solutions including time and scope involved
Assist other department engineers in creating practical demonstrations of proposed solutions and demonstrating them to other members of the team
Establish a framework for necessary contributions from various departments and facilitate their collaboration
Analyze current technologies used within the company and develop steps and processes to improve
Work closely with technology professionals to ensure software is fit for purpose and available for projects
Document and monitor requirements needed to institute proposed updates in relation to customer experience
Work alongside project management teams to successfully monitor progress and implementation of initiatives
Account for possible project challenges or constraints and proactively seek to manage challenges
Manage priorities within a rapidly changing organization focused on transformation at scale

Core/Must have skills:
B.S. in Computer Science or a related technical discipline.
Experience providing technology solutions directly with engineering teams.
Experience with JIRA, Confluence and/or Clarity.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Proven ability to build relationships with internal teams.

Skilled at explaining technical concepts in a clear and concise manner.
Strong problem-solving skills.
Ability to diplomatically and effectively manage issues across functional teams.
