Cyber Security Executive

Requirements :

1. Education and Certification:

– A robust educational background in computer science, information technology, or a related field is typically required.

– Advanced cyber course certifications to demonstrate their expertise.

2. Industry Experience :

– Previous experience in the field of cyber security with 3-5 engagement experience

– Candidates with at least 5-10 years of relevant experience, which may include roles such as security analyst, network administrator, or system administrator.

– Practical knowledge of industry best practices and compliance regulations is highly valued.

3. Leadership and Communication Skills :

– A cyber security manager is expected to lead and manage a team of security professionals.

– Strong leadership abilities with excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential for collaborating with stakeholders across different departments, including IT, legal, and executive management.

Roles and Responsibilities :

1. Develop and Implement Security Policies :

– Formulate and implement comprehensive security policies and procedures that align with the organization’s goals and regulatory requirements.

– Create incident response plans, conduct risk assessments, and ensure compliance with relevant data protection laws.

2. Manage Security Infrastructure :

– Oversee the deployment and maintenance of security tools, systems, and technologies such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and antivirus software.

– Collaborate with the IT department to ensure continuous monitoring, analysis, and response to potential security breaches.

3. Conduct Security Audits and Assessments :

– Lead the evaluation of existing security measures.

– Perform penetration testing and manage third-party security audits to ensure the organization’s systems and data remain secure.
