We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Associate, Fund/Client Accounting Representative I to join our Structured Products Corporate Actions Fund Accounting team. This role is located in Pune, Maharashtra – HYBRID.

In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways: 

  • Responsible for performing mandatory and voluntary corporate action- related to Structured funds for accounting processing requirements, such as dividend payments, Tender/Exchange, DRIP/reorganization, bond redemption, etc.
  • Understanding of security setups and security specific nuances. Trouble shooting on issues & understanding of their NAV impacts. Should have Corporate Action Knowledge, Understanding of Trust Setup, termination, Expense accrual and Periodic Distributions.
  • Also responsible for managing and controlling high levels of risk and liability inherent in the various functions.
  • Responsible for proactively recognizing, researching, and processing moderately intricate mandatory and voluntary corporate action events.
  • Responsibilities include the daily interpretation, monitoring, scrubbing and notification of complex corporate action events in US market and other global markets.
  • Determines impact of events and disseminates information regarding event to clients.
  • Responsible for identifying root causes in monthly reviews and developing corrective actions. 
  • Responsible for reviewing cash reconciliations, security and suspense transactions reviews adhering to established quality control measures and procedures.
  • Responsible for researching and responding to inquiries from internal business groups, and other stakeholders.
  • Works on multiple systems to perform corporate action processing, including creating and announcements, validating and processing the events on accounting platform. 
  • Process data and assists in resolving escalated problems that may arise during the normal daily, weekly or monthly accounting and reporting. Tracks data and maintains accounting records for funds of higher complexity in accordance with department policies and procedures.
  • Assists in establishing data maintenance and summarization processes to improve team efficiency and best support the accounting team. Assist team in preparing system-generated reports. Coordinates review of reports and the sharing of reports with accounting teams.
  • Regularly works with client staff to exchange information with respect to cash, accounting, and reporting of daily and monthly client activities and initiatives. Communicates data needs and answers client questions.
  • Assists in identifying and implementing process improvements to reduce audit and financial exposure and improve team efficiency. No direct reports. Supports the achievement of team objectives.
  • Understand and execute continuous improvement model(s) to achieve operational excellence.
  • Create and maintain associated procedures.
  • Primarily responsible for the accuracy and quality of own work and the work of assigned and/or less experienced team members. Work contributes to the achievement of area goals.
  • To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or the equivalent combination of education. Experience in accounting support must.
  • 2-4 years of total work experience preferred.
  • Experience in financial services processing and corporate actions preferred.
  • Candidate must showcase the professional skills as Strong verbal and written communication skills, Client Orientation/Focus, Email and Telephone Etiquettes, research and analysis skills. Skills like Time Management, Innovation & Problem solving, Timely escalations and motivated to Drives Results.
