Job Overview:

We are seeking a talented and versatile individual to join our team as a Technical Writer with a strong aptitude for Business Analysis. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating and maintaining clear, concise, and accurate technical documentation while also contributing to the business analysis function.

Responsibilities:

  • Technical Writing:
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including user manuals, API documentation, online help systems, and release notes.
  • Collaborate with engineering and product teams to gather information and ensure documentation aligns with product features and functionality.
  • Create and manage a style guide and ensure consistency in documentation.
  • Utilize industry best practices for technical writing and information architecture.
  • Business Analysis:
  • Elicit, analyze, and document business requirements and processes.
  • Create functional specifications, use cases, and process flows.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into actionable requirements.
  • Participate in requirements gathering and refinement sessions.
  • Conduct gap analysis between business requirements and system capabilities.
  • Other Responsibilities:
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in technical writing and business analysis.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure documentation meets the needs of various stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the overall success of the product development lifecycle.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in technical writing, with a strong ability to translate complex technical information into clear and concise language.
  • Experience in using figures and tables to enhance text with appropriate visuals.
  • Interest in getting to know the audience and ensuring documentation is fit for purpose on both customer and non-customer-facing scenarios
  • Attention to detail and willingness to become an expert on the client’s subject matter
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. 
  • Experience with content management systems and authoring tools.
  • Knowledge of software development methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall).
  • Familiarity with business analysis tools and techniques (optional).
  • A strong desire to learn and grow in both technical writing and business analysis roles.
  • Excellent written skills in English

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience working in a fast-paced, agile environment.
  • Familiar with documentation publishing software, such as MadCap, RoboHelp, Wikis or Zendesk
