Freelance Consultant- Product Cost Engineer

Job Description

Our client, a leading global specialist in energy management and automation is looking to engage with a Consultant Product Cost Engineer.
 Calculate and update with the best accuracy, the cost of components, sub-assemblies, and products for new projects.
 Deliver cost productivity through Product value analysis.
Key responsibilities:
• Calculate the detailed cost of a new product as per company’s Methodology
• Cost evaluation of a new product is shared and accepted by the manufacturing plant.
• Alerts in case of deviation and Risks
• Track potential savings through product cost analysis.
• Compares different techno-industrial solutions and find out the best through ROI calculation.
• Collect data from all company sources (Purchase, Finances, Mfg. Plants, Logistics, etc) including France and other countries and consolidate them.
• Challenges for cost reduction by fixing aggressive but achievable targets.
• Perform value analysis on existing products and set targets to achieve productivity.
• Estimates cost for parts of products localization of rebalancing.
• Deliver Teardown Cost Benchmarking Analysis
• Costing of all components (Plastics, Metals & PCBA)

Skills Required

• Product Costing Process Knowledge
• Should have experience in Cost / Design to Cost
• Proficient in Microsoft excel, Power Point
• 3 to 5 years of experience in Product Costing
•Experience in working as individual contributor.
•Knowledge on Industrial Process, Supply chain, logistics & purchasing is added advantage.
ACADEMICS: B.E or Diploma in Mechanical / Electronics / GTTC, NTTF or any equivalent degree.
