Global Cloud Infrastructure Engineering and Integration Head
Job Description
ManpowerGroup is embarking on a significant program to fundamentally transform technology across the company. At the heart of the transformation is a significant strengthening and globalization of the company’s technology infrastructure. It will involve the establishment of an enterprise infrastructure organization through the centralization and consolidation of diverse, federated legacy solutions in place in the over 60+ countries representing revenues of $20+ bn. The resultant technology infrastructure and application landscape should provide best-in-class service (resilient, elastic, stable) in a cost-effective manner with strong operational controls and information security. To build strong Technology Foundation, ManpowerGroup is considering Key Major programs in Technology areas such as Business Delivery Management and achieving Delivery excellence by leveraging Core Infrastructure and Application platforms such as Public Cloud, Data center migrations or Automation capability. There is also a significant investment on the application solutions and technology to drive Digitization and business process changes.
Each one of the above, in themselves, is a significant project, but when combined, represents a large and complex global transformation program which will fundamentally change the technology landscape in the organization and provide long term benefits.
Purpose of the role is:
To build “Public Cloud Engineering and Integration” capability as a Core Global Team to support firm’s strategic initiative i.e. to transition from current infrastructure hosting model to Public Cloud
This role will focus on supporting “Cloud Engineering and Integration” activities for migration of majority of Infrastructure environments hosted across 60+ countries globally during the project phase as well as on-going basis
The role is a leadership role which will focus on building and managing a very small core internal team, building, and managing an outsourced migration team for each project across all ManpowerGroup entities globally.
This role will also focus on enhancing the overall Cloud Capability, establishing secure Cloud Risk infrastructure, establishing the overall Cloud Monitoring and Management capability on an on-going basis across all Global Availability Zones hosted by Cloud Service Provider
This role will also follow Organization’s architectural principles, guidelines, standards and establish or enhance existing standards, processes in Engineering and integration areas.
This role will manage the delivery of various Engineering and solution development activities across multiple projects as well as for on-going BAU Engineering demand for Cloud Infrastructure hosting, Technology Refresh, Applications Upgrade etc.
Desired Candidate:
Demonstrate knowledge of cloud Infrastructure and application engineering and implementation features (OS, multi-tenancy, virtualization, orchestration, scalability)
Act as a Subject Matter Expert in end-to-end infrastructure and application engineering of cloud platforms, including Microsoft Azure, Oracle Cloud and future providers, networking, provisioning, and management
Develop a library of deployable and documented cloud design patterns, based on the application portfolio, as a basis for deploying services to the cloud
Demonstrate leadership capability to back decisions with research and articulate several options, the pros and cons for each, and a recommendation.
Maintain overall industry knowledge on latest trends, technology, etc.
Develop solutions and evaluate alternatives for public and hybrid cloud models, including IaaS, PaaS, and other cloud services
Contribute to DevOps development activities and complex development tasks related to Cloud Engineering domains
Define optimal design patterns and solutions for high availability and disaster recovery for applications in Cloud environment
Drive scope definition, requirements analysis, functional and technical design, application build, product configuration and production deployment
Ensure delivered solutions meet/perform to technical and functional/non-functional requirements
Provide technical expertise and ownership in the diagnosis and resolution of issues, including the determination and provision of workaround solution or escalation to service owners
Ensure delivered solutions are realized in time frame committed; work in conjunction with Program team to size and manage scope and risk
Provide support and technical governance, expertise related to cloud platform and application engineering design, deployment, and operations
Create a well-informed cloud strategy and manage the adaptation process.
Regularly evaluate cloud applications, hardware, and software.
Develop and organize cloud systems and ensure robust and effective Cloud Security mechanism in partnership with Information security team
Work closely with IT security to build and enhance the company’s cloud privacy and security infrastructure
Respond to technical issues in a professional and timely manner.
Offer guidance in infrastructure movement techniques including bulk application transfers into the cloud.
Manage the overall highly complex, multi-country, multi-entity, multi-year and multimillion-dollar strategic engineering roadmap.
Ensure the overall requirements are captured/documented (in-scope and out-of-scope), along with assumptions and exceptions
Accountable for all Technology Infrastructure and application, platform solutions.
Be Involved in Cloud RFPs in coordination with Strategic Partner Management Team PMO and Technology applications, infra teams.
Work closely with the Enterprise Architecture organization in aligning the engineering execution roadmap.
Develop an implementation approach which balances speed, cost, change and exception management
Accountable to govern and control technology solutioning and practices for entire organization.
Provide guidance and direction for integration, data migration, security access, environment, and development processes. Accountable for the outcome and impact of these.
Manage and engage closely with architecture, technical lead and engineering partners from various vendor and partner organizations.
Define and implement technology governance policy and controls in collaboration with enterprise architecture, information security, audit, and risk control.
