Job Description

Daffodil Lane Books is looking for a Graphic Designer to join their team. This is a full-time position based in Mumbai.

He/she will report to the Managing Editor and will assist with the development and design of picture books, marketing campaigns, branding collateral, event materials, and various other creative tasks as assigned.

Primary duties include but are not limited to:

Design and layout of childrens picture books for print.

Assisting with storyboarding, printing, reprints, reformatting.

Visualize and create graphics for the companys social media pages, website, and blog posts in keeping with the brand’s aesthetics.

Conceptualize and design marketing and branding collaterals (activity sheets, standees, posters, mock- ups).

Assist with video production (shooting, editing, etc.)

Cleaning up illustrations, and making rough artwork.

Coordinating with printers and vendors.

Quality check – design files, samples, final products.

Requirements:

Minimum one to three years of experience in digital graphic design and print.

A mastery of Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator) and a grasp of the production process for both print and web.

Strong graphic design skills and an interest in book layouts.

Ability to work quickly and accurately on design files.

Understanding of typography, composition, layout, color, image formats, and impactful design along with a keen sense of visualization.

Meticulous attention to design detail and quality.

Exceptional organizational and time management skills, including the ability to multitask, shift priorities when needed, work well under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and react quickly and smoothly to changes.

Ability to collaborate with and take direction.

Good communication skills.
