Accountabilities of function
Job Overview
We are looking for a highly knowledgeable and enthusiastic Sales Product Specialist having proven experience in NGS Instruments and various NGS cons portfolios. In this role, you will be responsible for technical sales of

NGS Instruments, NGS Panels, Oncology, Reproductive Health, Exome, WGS business

across the ME and India region by transferring expert knowledge of our products to our customers and sales team. The Product Specialist function in IGB is responsible for growing the business of assigned portfolio. Position is based out of India.
Key responsibilities

Play a Key role in

Growing the Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) Instruments and NGS Cons business across all regions

by working with the

sales team to position product in a competitively differentiated manner.
Effective engagement with category and sales management in

portfolios expansion

for offering workflows in NGS application, both in

research and clinical segments

(oncology and reproductive health).
Understand customer application requirements and prepare complete configuration

for discrete instrument deals and reagent rental deals. This is a key requirement.
Deliver

growth in funnel by working with the category & sales team by creating effective programs
Handling and closing customer escalations

related to products/configurations effectively by interacting with the

/ sales team / customer
Play a

key role

in helping the sales team

win deals by leveraging product specialization

during configurations and

customer pre -sales visits/meetings.
Ensure a smooth

handover of Sales to Service Delivery Team

without any margin erosion where the perfect configuration of standalone equipment deals and RR deals are essential and critical.
Play a key role

in developing a sales team (starting from Transactional to Field Account managers) that is capable of positioning competitively differentiated products/solutions.
Working with sales managers and category managers to create the clean and fast-moving

local inventory

for the assigned products.

Qualifications:

Candidates should have 5 to 10 year’s experience as product specialist/Technical sales specialist in handling NGS Instruments, NGS Panels, Oncology, Reproductive Health, Exome, WGS portfolio.
Candidate should have

communication skills

in handling stakeholders and decision-makers in pre-sales activities.
Should have the ability for quick and effective Escalation Handling :

Escalation needs to be made visible and handled effectively in the system (CRM- Escalation Module).
Be a team player while

developing and deploying effective category programs and marketing campaigns

The main performance metrics directly managed by the Product specialist function are highlighted below. Some of these metrics can be measured in a straightforward and analytical manner while other metric will be assessed by the management team, mainly the involvement of PS in building sales and category strategy creation and execution:

Business Growth and Profitability for the assigned products/solutions.
Effectiveness of sales team by providing training in positioning competitively differentiated products/solutions
Escalation closures on product/application related issues
Deployment of Effectiveness of Category Programs
