Role Title: IT Project Management Advisor

Position Summary:
You will be joining a team transforming healthcare and improving the lives and vitality of the millions of members we serve. We leverage cutting edge Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) algorithms to develop solutions for automated document processing and customer service chat bots. We are looking for Sr AI Engineers with strong engineering, full stack expertise to evaluate new Large Language Models (LLMs) and make them available for the enterprise in a compliant and secure manner. The work you do will impact millions of customers, members, and employers that rely on Cigna every day. Extreme focus on speed to market and getting Products and Services in the hands of customer and passion to transform healthcare is key to the success of this role.

The GenAI Project Manager will be responsible for developing and managing comprehensive project plans for IT initiatives with a focus on GenAI capabilities, coordinating with cross-functional global teams, tracking project progress, and driving continuous improvement and program governance while adhering to global project and quality management methodologies and frameworks. The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of experience in IT project management, with a focus on GenAI, preferably in healthcare or a related industry, and strong project management expertise. The position is full-time, working 40 hours per week with occasional travel required. Industry/domain experience in healthcare operations, regulatory requirements, and IT trends is preferred.

Job Description & Responsibilities:
Develop and manage comprehensive project plans for GenAI-focused IT initiatives, including task allocation, schedule, budget, resources, risk management, and performance metrics.
Coordinate and collaborate with cross-functional global teams, including IT, business stakeholders, and subject matter experts, to gather GenAI-related requirements and ensure alignment with organizational objectives and guidelines.
Track project progress and performance related to GenAI solutions, adjusting plans and priorities as needed to ensure timely delivery, scope adherence, and budget compliance.
Drive continuous improvement and program governance, adhering to global project and quality management methodologies and frameworks with a focus on GenAI initiatives.
Develop the overall project communications plan and collaborate with the Release Manager on release-related tasks and assignments.
Ensure proper implementation and integration of GenAI solutions with other healthcare IT systems and applications.

Experience Required:
3-5 years of experience in IT project management
1-3 years of experience in GenAI and deep learning technologies, preferably in the healthcare industry.
3 years of experience working in a complex, matrixed organization involving cross-functional or cross-business projects

Experience Desired:
Experience in Jira, Confluence is a must.
Experience in implementing enterprise systems in production setting for AI, computer vision, natural language processing. Exposure to self-supervised learning, transfer learning, and reinforcement learning is a plus.

Education and Training Required:
Strong working knowledge of project management methodologies, such as Waterfall, Agile, Scrum, PRINCE2, or PMI, focused on GenAI and AI-driven technologies.

Primary Skills:
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
In-depth understanding of industry-specific data security and compliance, such as Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Familiarity with healthcare operations, regulatory requirements, and GenAI-related IT trends for seamless communication within the organization.
