Job Title– Lead Analyst, TLC Accounting (FP&A/ TLC Controller)

Location– Gurgaon

 

Role purpose

 

  • This role is to look after Accounting & Reporting (Labour Cost Management) within the Finance – FP&A function.
  • Understanding end to end view of the accounting processes and their impact on business results, leading change where required to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Provide timely and first rate financial information to the Finance broader team ( FBP, FP&A managers, GA team) that will be used to create commercial information to be provided to the business to facilitate understanding and enhance decision making.
  • Manage the day to day Accounting and BAU activities of TLC team.
  • The role will directly work with FBP, FP&A Managers, Group Finance and other business teams across geographies and functions.

Key Accountabilities

 

  • Ensure that actual financial results relating to Labour costs are complete, accurate, timely, consistent and in full compliance each month with Colt policy.
  • Identify P&L trends and point out any one-offs.
  • Preparation of detailed commentary and monthly business reporting.
  • Preparation of balance sheet reconciliations and schedules.
  • Make recommendations concerning financial and operational results, problems, issues, trends etc.
  • Ensures consistency and validity of all management and financial reporting produced from the FSSC
  • Understand and resolve accounting issues and inconsistencies.
  • Continuously review accounting processes and systems in the light of business requirements and identifies changes that are necessary to control the risks and/or improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Ensure all out processes are controlled checked on a timely basis from Statutory Audit perspective.
  • Supports activities and projects with TLC team.

 

Role Specific Requirements

 

Essential Skills:

 

  • Relevant financial experience in an international and/or complex environment, with a proven broad knowledge of financial practices and procedures
  • Proven ability to achieve results and improvements to business processes, working with and through different teams across an organisation
  • Proven track record of working well within teams and interacting with senior management
  • Experience of working and liaising with shared and virtual teams
  • Experience working with SAP ERP / Oracle 11i / Other key ERPs
  • Experience of handling similar role in MNC environment .

Desirable Skills:

 

  • The ideal candidate will possess excellent people skills, creativity, enjoy problem solving both independently and in team settings and enjoy working in a fast paced environment and is on “top of the numbers”.
  • Preferably CA / ICWA/ MBA Finance/ MCom
  • 2-3 years of experience
  • Strong ability to communicate to all levels.
  • Proven ability to work with minimal direction.
  • Identifies and pro-actively pursues opportunities for improvement.
  • Confident in dealing with conflict fairly and decisively.
