We are seeking applications for the role of Manager – Contract Administration. Detailed job description mentioned below –
Key Purpose of the Job: The position will be responsible for the overall contractor administration management which will include proper contracting and documentation, performance monitoring of contractors, ensuring compliance with contracts and labour laws, approval of bills , resolution of disputes and claims from contractors and working closely with the execution & billing teams to ensure good relationships with contractors. The position shall act as a chief counsel to management on all contractual matters preventing organization from any unwarranted risk exposure or non-compliance

Contracting:
Participate in the final selection process of Contractors with Procurement.
Oversee the Contractor Prequalification process as per SOP
Understand all the contractual obligations in detail and ensure that the contracting process is comprehensive and well documented.
Maintain copies of all contract documents properly to administer the contract
Draft /update Contractual clauses as per Work requirements and learning from the past
Contract Administration:
Ensure Contractor fulfills all requirements for security deposit etc and financial guarantees before commencing work. Coordinate with Finance to ensure this.
Ensure that all required documentation and communication on contractual issues are done in a timely manner and appropriately documented.
Review contractor bills after approved by site to ensure that it is in line with the Contract.
Keep track on Contractor payments and ensure timely payment
Review all claims for extra costs made by contractors and provide feedback To Execution Head on whether it is appropriate.
Ensure Labour Compliances from Contractors. Administer process of Compliance Audit through third party consultant. Manage the process of penalties /payment hold or release process .
Manage the process of making counter claims if warranted in discussion with Execution and finance.
Proactively resolve issues with Contractors to ensure disputes are minimized
Ensure closure of contracts on completion and providing required documentation and certificates.
Maintain all details of all contractors to enable easy retrieval in future including details of contractor performance evaluation.
Dispute resolution:
Handle all matters pertaining to disputes with contractors including coordinating for legal actions
Attend all arbitration proceedings in case of disputes
Negotiate to arrive at settlements with contractors with the guidance of management.
Reports and MIS:
Provide monthly reports on Contract statues and status of any disputes and legal proceedings
Preferred Qualification:
Post Graduate Qualification in Construction Management / Bachelors Engineering Degree.
At least 8+ years in contract management in construction industry
