What does a great Project Manager do in Fiserv ?

As a PM, you will be responsible for successful deliveries to clients, daily interaction with clients/BU and teams to define priorities and updates. You will be required to work directly with BU/client to perform these implementations, consult on the product suite and / or discuss application roadmap. You will also be responsible for early engagement with Project/Implementation managers from other Fiserv teams and/or clients, identify/help clear roadblocks, negotiate deadlines, define priorities with implementation engineers, and manage risks.

What you will do

  • Central point of delivery communications for BU/clients
  • Works with BU and other Fiserv leaders on long term strategy for FGS teams
  • Works with clients to manage day to day delivery communications.
  • Escalations management
  • Works with other leads to align ways of working with best practice and program cadence.
  • Leads team rituals and ensuring relevant ceremonies are followed.
  • Works with BU to ensure team priority and delivery is aligned with client’s vision.
  • Works with client to prioritize and maintain scrum team backlog.
  • Identifies and tracks risks, issues and dependencies at a sprint and release level. Working with team and BU/Client to track and manage impediments (either through process or workflow improvements)
  • Ensures acceptance criteria are clearly set and met for team requirements
  • Perform regular analysis of team progress through required reporting
  • Provide direction and guidance for Scrum team during sprints. Completes regular inspection to ensure TFS is up to date (daily) reflecting team sprint position, stories are closed in line with acceptance.
  • Works with BU/Client to manage scope and effort on behalf of the Scrum team at both a feature and sprint level. Ensure feature and sprint scope clearly defined and any effort impacts are communicated to the BU/Client (rolling up to the Release and Sprint level)
  • Contribute to different practices initiatives by collaborating with BU to identify and implement steps to effectively manage team’s work, increase team productivity, practices, and ways of working.
  • What you will need to have

  • 12+ years of relevant experience
  • Financial industry experience
  • Strong self-motivation with excellent time management skills, including ability to work on time sensitive projects to meet deliverables by expected due date.
  • Analytical skills to assess client business need, prepare plans, and manage requirements.
  • Work on multiple projects in parallel.
  • Excellent communication skills including written and verbal.
  • Possess excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, with good follow-up skills and attention to detail
  • Proficient in computer systems and personal computer use
  • Knowledge of business methods and practices in the financial services industry is highly desirable.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Creative problem-solving skills
  • Strong project management and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Ability to exercise appropriate judgment/decision making skills to ensure client success.
  • Work with internal teams on process improvements.
  • Manage priorities within and across projects based on a faced paced culture while continuing to focus on quality of deliverables.
  • Incumbents may coach, cross-train, strain, assist, and in general help others as assigned.
  • Worked in mobile (iOS, Android etc.) and web technologies (ASP.Net, C# etc)
  • What would be great to have

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology/science or related fields
  • 12+ years proven experience with client implementations / services, dealing with internal and external clients.
  • Good troubleshooting skills & communication skills
  • Demonstrated project management & planning skills.
  • Able to resolve team issues and be an effective team leader.
