MDG Functional Architect/Analyst – Support & Implementation

Accountabilities :
– Partner with Global Process, IT Functional and Technical teams to support MDG configured and custom processes, rules and framework of the S/4 Global Template MDG end-to-end solution.
– Understand impacts to existing PepsiCo global master data solutions and offer alternatives for flexibility, optimization, simplification and reuse in Conceptual Architecture and Functional Design Documents.
– Govern content of Change Request Form and Functional Specification
– Document content to ensure adherence to master data standards and design principles.
– Partner with the Global Template Master Data Governance leads and specialists to translate data and process requirements into flexible functional and technical solutions that are extendable for subsequent implementations.
– Ensure that solutions are robustly tested by governing detailed test plans and test results for new designs and planned regression testing.
– Govern and ensure that master data interfaces are designed and delivered with intense attention to system performance and reuse where possible.
Years of Experience :
– Minimum 2-3 of experience in MDG solution implementation.
– Preference given to candidates with full lifecycle experience (blueprint, design, build, go-live, hypercare, support)
– Minimum of 6 years of experience supporting and deploying SAP ERP (S/4 or ECC) implementations, with a focus on the Operations/Supply Chain functional area and configuration (e.g. modules such as MM, PP, IM/WM, PM, QM)
– Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in a dedicated Data role, preferably on the SAP S/4 or ERP platform, with a focus on at least one of the following MDG domains (material, customer, vendor).
– Specific knowledge and expertise of the SAP Operations/Supply Chain design would be an advantage.
Mandatory Technical Skills :
– Bachelors degree required; IT focus preferred.
– Ability to communicate with functional/business users and deep technical architects and developers, including the ability to translate requirements from a business point of view to a more technical point of view.
– Ability to understand functional and technical IT requirements and be able to identify and offer multiple solution options to facilitate the best outcome.
– Experience with problem solving including root cause analysis including identification, documentation and presentation of potential solutions.
– Experience with implementations and/or support of SAP MDG, including configuring Change Requests / workflows and BRFplus rules.
– Lacking MDG experience, a strong multi-year background in SAP SD or MM configuration including the condition technique will be considered.
– Experience with design and administration of workflow solutions, in SAP, IBM BPM, or a similar technology.
Mandatory Non-Technical Skills :
– Effective oral and written skills to communicate complex ideas and concepts, and provide clear documentation to management and executive leadership, and across multiple geographies.
– Consulting skills in working with stakeholders at multiple levels in the organization and across departments (including at a global or corporation-wide level)
– Ability to prioritize and negotiate requirements and solutions when required by timeline and/or budget constraints.
– Ability to quickly adapt to changes in timelines and sequences.
– Ability to work flexible hours based on varying business requirements.
– Knowledge and experience in the following tools, disciplines and processes are nice to have : SAP, SolMan 5+, CHARM, MS Azure, and Quality Center.
