Pune (Frequent travel to US Factory and tradeshows)

Experience:

10+ Years

Education Qualification:

B.Tech. (Mechanical/Mechatronics/Instrumentation), Preferably M.tech

Required Skills/Qualification:
Ø Hands-on knowledge to guide a team to build rapid prototypes and making them production ready
Ø Hands-on knowledge of mechanical and electronic design
Ø Knowledge of electronics for motor control, sensor interfacing, PCB design etc.
Ø Ability to understand drawings in software like Solid Works / Autocad / CATIA
Ø Understanding of enclosure design in sheet metal, vacuum forming, injection moulding and wood
Ø Knowledge of CNC techniques for manufacturing and optimization
Ø Creating production efficient designs and BOM for factories to manufacture the product
Ø Understanding of design for 3D printing
Ø Be flexible in organizing the work as per requirements
Ø Well organized and autonomous
Ø

Experience and ability to teach or instruct co-workers.
Ø Open for feedback and enjoy working in a fast paced, constantly iterating environment
Ø Experience on image processing and software development is a plus

Job Responsibility:
1.

Leading a diverse team of mechanical, electronics and software engineers
2.

Working on core design of the mechatronics behind futuristic interactive systems
3.

Conducting technical and feasibility analysis for the RFQs (as applicable) within agreed timelines
4.

Project scheduling and management of team for timely delivery with reporting to management
5.

Co-ordinating with US factory for taking designs from R&D to production
6.

Carry out technical evaluation of vendors identified by sourcing team for component development
7.

Ability to anticipate potential problems, determine and implement solutions.
8.

Working closely with Project Managers and Engineers for developing new products and applications in the field of interactive systems
9.

Working closely with management team in evaluating current systems and making deci­sions on future development
10. Analyse, design, coordinate and supervise the development of systems.
11. Lead prototyping to production process for electro-mechanical designs
12. Quality process planning for all projects going from R&D to Production
13. Adhering to quality standards.
14. Performance tuning, improvement, balancing, usability, automation.
15. Support, maintain and document projects executed.
