Job Description

You will be working as Project Lead Engineer – Process Power Manager and will be part of Process Automation Business Area for Energy Industries division based in Bangalore, India. In this role you will be reporting to Engineering Manager and will be responsible for designing authority for Electrical power Management system with low to medium complexity. Completing assignments on small projects or portions of larger projects, cost effectively and in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards and safety requirements.

Your responsibilities

  • Evaluating, selecting, applying standard techniques and procedures to perform engineering assignments. Handling testing, installing and commissioning activities. Preparing project documentation within one’s scope of deliverables
  • Creating work plans and cost estimating in one’s area of responsibility. Reviewing, approving scope, budget, schedule for assignments, ensuring quality deliverables on time and within targeted cost
  • Assisting customers on technical issues, interacting with official contacts, contractor and other staff within his or her scope of deliverables. Assisting communication pertaining to specific assignments or meetings
  • Collaborating with the supply chain function to ensure that technical requirements for equipment or services are communicated and agreed on with potential suppliers. Providing technical evaluation of supplier proposals and accepting as fit for purpose supplied equipment or services
  • Maintaining network of engineering professionals and sharing engineering best practice across different projects and disciplines
  • Using standard processes and tools applicable to one’s area of responsibility. Ensuring that engineering activities comply with required safety regulations and contractual requirements

Your background

  • B E or B Tech in Electronics and Communication Engineering
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in Substation Automation System or Power Management System (PMS) engineering and commissioning
  • Hands-on experience in Application Engineering tool with any of the DCS, Graphic Engineering tool with any of the DCS and developing HMI graphics or logics related to primary
  • Hands on Experience in producing documents ranging from Pre to Detailed Engineering, System Testing (FAT & IFAT) for above mentioned systems
