Job Overview

We are seeking a Senior Purchasing Manager to join our team in Mysuru. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in vendor management, negotiation, and procurement. This role involves overseeing the procurement processes, ensuring cost-efficiency, and maintaining high standards of quality and supplier relationships.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Strong vendor management skills to handle multiple suppliers and maintain excellent relationships (Mandatory skill).
  • Proven expertise in negotiation to secure the best deals while ensuring quality and reliability (Mandatory skill).
  • Extensive procurement experience to efficiently source and acquire goods and services (Mandatory skill).
  • Knowledge of supply chain management to optimize the flow of goods and services from suppliers to end-users.
  • Proficiency in inventory control to ensure accurate tracking of materials and products.
  • Experience in logistics planning to coordinate the movement and storage of goods effectively.
  • Strong cost analysis skills to identify opportunities for cost savings and budgeting.
  • Ability to implement risk management strategies to mitigate potential issues in procurement and supply chain operations.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies to meet the organization’s needs and objectives.
  • Identify and qualify potential suppliers, and manage supplier relationships to ensure quality and reliability.
  • Negotiate contracts, prices, and terms to achieve cost-effective procurement solutions.
  • Coordinate with internal departments to forecast demand and ensure timely procurement of materials and services.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor strategies, and market suppliers to adjust procurement plans accordingly.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and relevant regulations.
  • Manage inventory levels to optimize storage costs and reduce excess stock.
  • Conduct cost analysis and report on procurement metrics to senior management.
  • Implement risk management strategies to address potential supply chain disruptions and ensure continuity.
