Position Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Area Sales Manager (ASM) / Senior Sales Officer (Senior SO) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in driving sales growth for FMCG (Food – preferably edible oil brands) within both General Trade and Modern Trade channels. This role is crucial in expanding our market presence and achieving sales targets.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Strategy & Execution:
Develop and implement effective sales strategies to drive growth in both General Trade and Modern Trade channels.
Market Penetration:
Identify and capitalize on new business opportunities to increase market share.
Relationship Management:
Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors, retailers, and key stakeholders.
Performance Monitoring:
Regularly track sales performance, analyse trends, and adjust strategies as needed to meet or exceed targets.
Promotional Activities:
Plan and execute promotional campaigns to boost product visibility and sales.
Team Collaboration:
Work closely with the marketing and product development teams to ensure alignment on sales objectives and strategies.
Reporting:
Prepare and present sales reports, forecasts, and market analyses to senior management.
Qualifications
Experience:
4-6 years of proven sales experience in the edible oil industry, with a strong track record in both General Trade and Modern Trade channels.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. MBA is a plus.
Skills:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Willingness to travel as required
