JR46477 Software Devops Architect

As a member of the Micron Engineering Services team, you will have a crucial role in enabling the success of Micron! Our team provides modern development infrastructure tools to engineering teams throughout Micron. The teams we empower work on next generation memory and storage technology.

We provide Enterprise-wide support for Atlassian Jira (issue/bug tracking, team planning, work management), Atlassian Confluence (engineering wiki), Atlassian Bitbucket (Git repo hosting and code/branch management), JFrog Artifactory (binary artifact management), Jenkins /Tekton(build/test/release automation), SonarSource SonarQube (code quality analysis) and other similar tools.

Architecture

Key Responsibilities :

1) Help Micron engineering teams migrate to modern Jenkins Pipeline or Tekton Pipeline based release/test/release mechanisms;

2) Further enhance our Jenkins Pipeline Shared Library to accelerate the migration away from older Jenkins freestyle jobs;

3) Modernize development process reporting capabilities (for example, Jira reporting in Tableau);

4) Develop tool regression testing capabilities that accelerate value delivery and reduce risk for upgrades and other changes;

5) Provide user support for our entire tool-chain;

6) Support Jira Development work to adopt new changes and enhancements.

Engage in the opportunity of multifaceted tasks and responsibilities including migration of (and re-design of) Jenkins pipelines, report migration and custom software development. Collaborate with members of other teams within Engineering Services. Be Active in bringing Innovation and Lean ideas to the floor. Bring Analytics approach for solving the problems.

Qualifications

Required

  • 5 – 14+ years technical experience
  • Experience with processes and tools that support software/firmware build, test and release (continuous integration, continuous delivery, continuous deployment; CI/CD)
  • Software design, development and testing experience (esp. Python, Groovy or similar languages; REST API interaction; Selenium testing)
  • Exposure to Development of Atlassian Tools ( Jira/Confluence and Jama)
  • Exposure of Jama configuration and usage.
  • Shell scripting (Bash) and Unix/Linux/Windows OS familiarity.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills (English)

  • Experience with Jenkins Pipelines, Tekton Pipelines or similar build/test/release automation technology
  • Knowledge and experience with Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, Git, Artifactory, Jenkins, SonarQube and/or similar tools
  • Experience with data reporting and visualization such as Tableau, Jira eazyBI
  • Familiarity with Docker containers and Kubernetes orchestration
  • Experience coaching, mentoring and/or training engineers in multiple geographies
  • Experience debugging complex web-application problems (browser, web-application, database, OS, network)
  • Knowledge of authentication services, identity-based role management techniques, cyber security and information security
