Job Description
Broadband Provisioning Analyst I
The Broadband Provisioning Analyst I is responsible for managing the end-to-end provisioning process for telecommunication services, including Broadband, Fiber, DSL, Wireless, SD-WAN, and VoIP. This role involves collaborating with telecommunication carriers (ILEC/CLEC), configuring and monitoring circuits and equipment, and ensuring timely order processing and delivery to meet organizational and client needs.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Order Management and Provisioning:
o Prepare and submit Access/Local Service Requests (ASR/LSR/SI) for services such as T1, PRI, ADI, HSIA, Ethernet, IXC, POTS, DIDs, Broadband, VoIP, and Fiber.
o Process new installations, Move/Add/Change/Delete (MACD) orders, and track them from initiation to completion.
o Follow up with vendors and service providers to ensure smooth transitions and timely execution of orders.
2. Circuit Management:
o Provision and manage DSL, Broadband, Fiber, and Wireless circuits.
o Configure SD-WAN equipment, Sophos Firewalls, and Access Points.
o Confirm installations and MACD completions with vendors and update internal systems with technical details.
3. Vendor and Carrier Interaction:
o Engage with vendors/service providers via email, phone, and portals to manage order flow and resolve issues.
o Escalate and proactively follow up with vendors and Project Managers (PMs) as needed.
o Participate in status calls with carriers and vendors to address critical updates and milestones.
4. Database and Documentation Management:
o Maintain accurate records of order statuses, including order numbers, circuit IDs, and FOC documentation.
o Create, maintain, and update internal documentation and databases as necessary.
5. Continuous Improvement:
o Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance production quality and efficiency.
o Provide feedback to Service Delivery Management on process changes and improvements.
o Support and participate in organizational process enhancement efforts.
6. Support and Backup:
o Act as a backup for other Provisioning Analyst positions as assigned.
o Assist team members with expertise and technical guidance when needed.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
1-3 years of experience in telecommunications provisioning, project management, or order management preferred.
Technical knowledge of wireline telecommunications technologies and VoIP standards (SIP, Broadsoft, soft switches).
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Proficiency in telecommunication-specific applications (e.g., VOM, BOSS, SharePoint, COM, Telecare, QuickBasic, Loki).
Strong time-management and organizational skills with high attention to detail.
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, 24/7 operational environment.
Effective communication and problem-solving skills.
WORKING HOURS:
The provisioning team operates 24/7, requiring flexibility to meet organizational and client needs.
