Qualifications and Skills

• Must possess a valid heavy license obtained before 2009 (Mandatory skill) to ensure compliance with legal and operational standards.
• Ability to speak in English (Mandatory skill) is essential for effective communication and understanding of instructions.
• Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) is required to demonstrate certified driving capabilities for commercial transport.
• Proficient in route planning to optimize trips, save time, and ensure timely deliveries of goods.
• Knowledge of vehicle maintenance to ensure the truck is in good working condition and avoid breakdowns.
• Strong understanding of safe driving practices to prevent accidents and ensure the safety of goods and people.
• Excellent customer service skills to interact professionally with clients upon delivery of goods.
• Adept at map reading to efficiently navigate to various delivery locations without the reliance on GPS alone.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Operate and drive heavy trucks to deliver goods safely and efficiently to specified destinations.
• Ensure timely loading and unloading of cargo while maintaining proper records related to deliveries.
• Conduct routine inspection and maintenance of the vehicle to ensure it meets operational standards.
• Plan routes effectively to ensure timely deliveries and adherence to schedules.
• Comply with state and local driving laws, as well as any other requirements established by the company.
• Safeguard the freight entrusted to you, ensuring it remains intact and undamaged during transit.
• Engage with clients professionally during delivery processes to maintain positive business relationships.
• Report any incidents or violations to the management and document them as required by company policy.
